Meet the Artist

Laara Designs started out as a hobby. I always had a knack for arts and designs but never had the chance to explore my creativity.

Some years ago my husband gave me a small old piece of leather with some carved designs. It wasn’t anything intricate, but I fell in love with it. I got inspired and my leather carving journey started from that day on. I carved as much as I can, starting from small pieces of leather to bags and eventually cue cases.

I held my first exhibit at the 2018 Super Billiards Expo USA. It was a remarkable moment for me. Laara Designs was introduced to cue makers and billiards enthusiasts around the world. I am truly grateful and honoured to partner with Kenny Carfagno of FourKingscues who commissioned my first edition of Szamboti cue cases.

The 2019 Super Billiards Expo USA was an astonishing moment as well. A non-traditional Sheridan design and techniques were applied in my second edition of Szamboti and Searing cue cases. Positive reviews from cue makers, billiards enthusiasts, and hardcore collectors were amazing and inspiring.

What started out as an idea, Laara Designs is now the only international leather carving brand associated with the world’s famous cue makers.

Leather carving is my passion. Transforming my creativity into something that is tangible, I create leather artwork from genuine raw leather. From design conception to the last stitch, I will continue to create an authentic one-of-a-kind masterpiece that makes Laara Designs truly unique.
